In 1992 Jim Hartman and Billy Young formed the Hartman & Young Financial Group, and began providing advice and guidance to groups and individuals for their insurance and investment needs. They currently serve over two thousand people and have over 5 million dollars under management.
We are a full service agency and offer Federal Compliance assurance on all 125 premium only plans we administer. This is an important issue with today's emphasis on groups being in compliance with employee benefit programs. Hartman & Young specializes in group and individual insurance needs such as medical, dental, vision, life, and disability. We also help individuals plan for their future by establishing financial goals for things such as retirement, college, buying a home, or starting a business, just to name a few. Another important service feature is our work assisting small businesses by helping owners understand and install buy sell agreements.

Jim Hartman has over 46 years experience in the insurance and financial advisory business. He worked for over 22 years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina, serving as Senior Vice President over Private Business Operations. After leaving in 1992 he and Billy Young formed the Hartman & Young Financial Group, and began providing advice and guidance to groups and individuals for their insurance and investment needs. Currently Jim serves over 2,000 people and has over 5 million dollars under investment management.

I joined Hartman & Young Financial Group in the fall of 2001. I am experienced, knowledgeable and professional in all aspects of Life, Accident & Health insurance including Dental, Vision and Annuities. I specialize in all areas of Medicare such as Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage and the Prescription Drug Plans. I am also licensed and certified in Affordable Care Act.
